ABOUT DEBORAH MOORE
DEBORAH MOORE BRIDAL WEAR STUDIO – A NEW CHAPTER
Deborah Moore Bridal Wear has been a high-street Bridal Wear success story with an enviable reputation for over 25 years.
1000’s of brides have found their dream dresses with myself and the Deborah Moore team, amazing ladies who’ve all been part of the success story so far.
“So why walk away from such a dream business?” you ask. The truth is I didn’t, I’d seen how I could make it even better both for you and for me.
Embarking on the next step of my bridal adventure in my Bridal Studio in Swanland, I bid a very fond farewell to my busy Hessle boutique and I’m followed my heart.
My vision was to create a unique bridal experience, in a much more relaxed environment with fabulous views, away from the hustle and bustle, parking restrictions and passers-by peaking through the windows as brides perused and tried dresses on.
I’ve created a bridal studio designed entirely for welcoming individual clients and their guests in a space dedicated to their sole use. No interruptions, no strangers, no distractions, just you, me and whomever you choose to accompany you.
A fantastic relaxed VIP experience for my clients and a happy work-life balance for me whilst pursuing the job I love!
My love of fashion started young, as a child I always had a keen interest in fashion. My teens saw a formal step into this world at Leeds College of Art, studying every aspect of the clothing industry. Vogue magazine was my inspiration for creating high fashion designs, worn by myself and friends to wear as we danced the nights away in the coolest of clubs around the country. A weekend wouldn’t go by without a new order.
Post college I dived boldly straight into the world of self employment, successfully approaching many independent boutiques in Leeds to carry my designs.
Life tends to have a plan for us and a chance request from a lovely lady, named Sarah (a fashion lecturer) asked if I’d help her, alter wedding dresses, for an independent bridal boutique. That was the start of my journey from fashion to bridal with snowballing commissions to create extravagant gowns inspired by the cream of bridal couture. Leading ultimately to the opening of my first shop, stocked with my own creations, looking back I don’t think I fully appreciated what I’d achieved so young.
Larger premises were quickly needed and I made another bold move and upsized to my former Hessle premises where I achieved an enviable but hard-earned position in the top 10 UK bridal boutiques, and remained there for a really happy 25 years. I have been extremely privileged to work with so many gorgeous brides, and stock and work with many fabulous designers, such as Ian Stuart, Pronovias, Hollywood dreams, to name but a few.
Now I’ve started another new chapter, continuing my passion for bridal wear, enjoying spending time with my brides, but also enjoying the precious time I crave with my son, my family and friends.
